11月24日，無(wú)錫外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)校作為劍橋英語(yǔ)考點(diǎn)首次舉辦了劍橋通用英語(yǔ)五級(jí)KET、PET考試，來(lái)自無(wú)錫的389名考生參加了本次考試。
劍橋通用五級(jí)證書考試，是英國(guó)劍橋大學(xué)考試委員會(huì)根據(jù)歐洲委員會(huì)制定的語(yǔ)言教學(xué)大綱設(shè)計(jì)的英語(yǔ)作為外國(guó)語(yǔ)的五級(jí)系列考試。該系列考試是一種對(duì)考生的英語(yǔ)聽、說(shuō)、讀、寫能力進(jìn)行考察的水平考試。對(duì)成績(jī)及格者將提供由英國(guó)劍橋大學(xué)考試委員會(huì)頒發(fā)的成績(jī)合格證書。該證書由于其考試的科學(xué)性、穩(wěn)定性、權(quán)威性，在世界各國(guó)獲得承認(rèn)，證書終生有效，被用于入學(xué)、就業(yè)等各種用途。

On November 24, Wuxi Foreign Language School held the Cambridge General English Test （KET and PET ）for the first time as the Cambridge English Test Site. 389 candidates from Wuxi participated in the test.
The Cambridge General Certificate of Band 5 is a series of Band 5 English as Foreign Language tests designed by the Cambridge University Examination Board in accordance with the language syllabus developed by the European Commission. This series of examinations is a proficiency test to examine learners’ listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities in English. Those who pass will be provided with a certificate of achievement issued by the Cambridge University Examination Board. As a result of its scientificity, stability and authority, the certificate has been recognized all over the world. It is valid for life and is used for various purposes such as enrollment, employment and so on.
Wuxi Foreign Language School has been authorized by Cambridge English School, which is the sub-examination point of Cambridge English Education Evaluation Center. It is convenient for students of Wuxi Foreign Language School and English learners in Wuxi to take part in the international English proficiency test at their doorstep.

The International Curriculum Center of Wuxi Foreign Language School has explored a new mode of English teaching.
