The bilingual primary school of wuxi foreign language school has been offering "UOI extra-disciplinary thematic inquiry courses", aiming at providing broader, deeper and clearer curriculum contents for children's growth, and guiding students to combine extensive written knowledge learning with practical activities, so as to realize the unity of knowledge and practice.

11月8日下午,雙語(yǔ)部小學(xué)秋季UOI第一期成果展示如期舉行。展覽墻上印滿(mǎn)了孩子們積極主動(dòng)開(kāi)展學(xué)習(xí)的足跡吸引了家長(zhǎng)們的關(guān)注。

On the afternoon of November 8, the first phase of UOI achievement exhibition of bilingual primary school was held as scheduled.The children's active learning on the exhibition walls attracted the attention of parents.

一年級(jí)的探究主題是“學(xué)習(xí)社區(qū)”。孩子們通過(guò)走訪不同類(lèi)型的學(xué)習(xí)社區(qū),了解學(xué)習(xí)社區(qū)從古至今的變化,每一個(gè)學(xué)生都深深地認(rèn)識(shí)到從學(xué)習(xí)不只停留在現(xiàn)在,更要著眼于未來(lái),建立一個(gè)終身學(xué)習(xí)的理念。

Grade One’s exploration topic is "learning community".Through visiting different types of learning communities, the children learned about the changes of learning communities from ancient times to modern times. Every student deeply realized that learning was not only about the present, but also about the future, and established the concept of lifelong learning.

二年級(jí)的探究主題是“榜樣”。同學(xué)們通過(guò)媒體搜索、采訪家人朋友以及閱讀分析探究了各行各業(yè)的榜樣資料,并制作Time雜志,展示自己選擇的榜樣,同時(shí)將自己成為別人的榜樣樹(shù)立為更長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)的目標(biāo)。

Grade Two’s topic of inquiry was "role models".Through media search, interviews with family and friends, and reading and analyzing, students explored the materials of role models in various industries. They also produced Time magazine to show the role models they chose and set themselves as a role model for others as a long-term goal.

三年級(jí)的探究主題是“水”。同學(xué)們通過(guò)了解水的來(lái)源和分布體會(huì)了水對(duì)于人類(lèi)的重要性,進(jìn)而制作節(jié)水標(biāo)識(shí)并進(jìn)行宣講,幫助更多人增強(qiáng)保護(hù)水源節(jié)約用水的意識(shí)。

Grade Three's exploration topic is "water".By understanding the source and distribution of water, the students realized the importance of water to human beings, and then made water-saving signs and made presentations to help more people enhance their awareness of water conservation.

四年級(jí)的探究主題是“藝術(shù)”。孩子們通過(guò)參觀學(xué)習(xí)上海當(dāng)代藝術(shù)博物館以及上海藝術(shù)博物館,置身于不同藝術(shù)形式,去感受,去體驗(yàn),去實(shí)踐,去探究。不同藝術(shù)形式以及它們的變化使孩子們感受到藝術(shù)的魅力以及如何去表達(dá)藝術(shù)。

Grade Four's topic of inquiry is about "Art".Through visiting and learning about Power Station of Art and MOCA Shanghai, children can experience, practice and explore different art forms.Different art forms and their changes make children feel the charm of art and how to express art.

五年級(jí)的探究主題是“人一生中的各個(gè)階段的變化”。同學(xué)們通過(guò)通過(guò)斯芬克斯的謎語(yǔ)導(dǎo)入,制作流程圖、曲線圖、海報(bào)、立體模型等各種形式展現(xiàn)出人在身體方面的變化,不僅了解了伴隨人一生的身體、社交、情感和智力在各個(gè)階段的變化,特別是即將處于青春期的同學(xué)們?cè)撊绾翁岣咦晕艺J(rèn)識(shí),引導(dǎo)學(xué)生平穩(wěn)地度過(guò)青春期。

The theme of the fifth grade is "The changes in people's life at various stages".By introducing the riddle of sphinx, students can make flowcharts, graphs, posters, stereoscopic models and other forms to show the changes of people's bodies. Students not only understand the physical, social, emotional and intellectual changes that accompany their life, but also learn how to improve their autognosis and guide students to go through puberty  smoothly.

We encourage every student to actively participate in their own learning and take responsibility for their own learning and development.This UOI exploration exhibition is to provide different personalized evaluation and display platform for each student's learning and growth, arouse students' agency and the drive for independent development, guide the students to have a broader vision, more real experience, more independent thinking, more confident quality and more advanced learning methods in terms of international vision, cultural tolerance, exploration and cooperation, quality training, imagination and creation, action and reflection, and service to the society.
