Shakespeare said: "A life without books is like a life without sunshine; Wisdom without books is like a bird without wings. Reading can nourish the soul and open the mind; Can increase knowledge, improve literacy, can enrich our life, nourish our mind, let us learn to distinguish right from wrong. In order to make children fall in love with reading, express themselves and release their creativity through reading, teachers from the bilingual department of Wuxi Foreign Languages School prepared a special reading party for the children.

This time the reading group began with "The Dot". The Dot is a picture book by best-selling author Peter Reynolds. It tells the story of a caring teacher who, in a very creative way, asks a student who doesn't believe in herself and doesn't have the courage to try, to start creating her "mark" and start anew the journey of self-discovery and self-creation. Teachers in the bilingual Department took inspiration from this book, combined with the characteristics of the children's growth, and led the children to embark on a journey of self-discovery through careful design, starting from a small "point".

2. Find the "dots" around you.

Life lacks not beauty, but the eye to find it. All around us, "dots" are everywhere. Children use their own eyes to find, to find. In the process of searching and discovering, the attention ability of the children is well trained. At the same time, they observe the life with attention and experience life with heart, and find many beautiful things from the ordinary life.

4. The art of making something.

With the eyes to find beauty, we also have a mind and hands to make beauty. Under the guidance of the teachers, students gave full play to their rich imagination and drew creative works with different styles according to a "dot" on the paper.

Students through this theme reading activities, their own reading and life, their own imagination and creation linked. A small point, opened a new world of reading students. A small point may be insignificant, but it contains a great power, showing the unique and unlimited creativity of students outside Tin.
