——by Irene

The eastern horizon was glowing, carefully covering the light blue sky. A new day is coming. Today is our last day in Adelaide.

Yesterday is our classmate Karen's birthday. To give her a big surprise,we arrived at classroom early in the morning and began to prepare our birthday party. When Karen walked into the classroom, the birthday song sounded. Her eyes were full of tears, she was so moved that she could not say a word. We gave her a lovely birthday party in Australia,as our school has the tradition to celebrate birthday for every student. She made a wish and blew out all the candles. She cut the cake for us. We were having birthday cake and drinks. Then we took photos. I think Karen will never forget her birthday in Australia!

Tomorrow we'll be heading to Melbourne to see something different from Adelaide.
